Spending the first day in a class setting will allow for practicing transitions, answering questions, and planning a day tour as a group. On the second day we will go in the backcountry and execute the tour plan. There’s no better way to get a jump on splitboarding than registering today.

We love to give our guests the best conditions we can, so we’re constantly out there making assessments of when and where to ski. Skiing in the Southwest is awesome for several reasons. Storms roll in and out, leaving blue skies and good visibility. New Mexico Skiers enjoy light and fluffy powder in the mid-winter and great corn skiing in the spring. Most of all, the solitude and adventure of the spirit of the Southwest that only New Mexico can offer.

It’s true, some of the best skiing you’ll ever have is in the backcountry where we can take you on a backcountry ski or ski mountaineering tour in New Mexico. We’re out there ski guiding in New Mexico, Washington, and  Colorado all winter, well into the spring & even after the lifts have closed for the season. You don’t have to be an expert to enjoy backcountry skiing. Ski New Mexico with some of New Mexico’s best backcountry ski guides.

We’ve been guiding backcountry skiing around the Taos Ski Valley for years. We love to share some of the most outstanding summits and ski descents from the peaks in the Questa Ranger District. Our guides have the local knowledge to find great skiing conditions and can coordinate a great tour for you, your friends, or your family. Want an overnight experience?
