Ready to get some turns in while getting away from the North American summer heat? Come and join us for an adventure of a lifetime in Chile while exploring some iconic volcanoes. Whether you’re a rider or a skier, we’ve got a great itinerary lined up.
Flights into Temuco can be purchased through Latam Airlines i(direct flights are around ($80 USD one way; you will need to create an account in order to shop for tickets) to expedite your travels if you are coming to Chile via Santiago. Multiple flights a day are available on a regional jet. Hotel accommodations and transportation will be provided from the airport (DATE ?) to Malalcahuello.
On the docket for these tours:
Day 1 Begin trip off from Malalcahuello by going to Corralco ski Centre and take lifts half way up and then hike/skin the rest of the way up to the crater of Volcan Lonquimay. Enjoy views and eat lunch then descend back down to the parking area. Travel via van to Malalcahuello for dinner and a good night’s rest.
Day 2 wake up early drive from Malalcahuello to bottom of Volcan Lliama. Skin from 4,900’ to 10,279’. make the 4 mile skin to the summit crater and ski down 5000 feet to the trail head. (POSSIBLE lift ride up?? Snow cat/sled assist?? Drive back to Malalcahuello (approx 2 hours) for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 rest day. Drive to Osorno (approx 4 hour drive) and get dinner and rest, pack and prepare for
Day 4 get gear ready make way to the Refugio to stay the night on the way to Puyehue refugio. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5 Goal: skin up to crater and ski the inside. Set up camp for overnight.
Day 6 ski more of the crater. Camp other night or ski back to Refugio.
Day 7 ski down and drive to Pucon have dinner
Day 8 Recovery and rest hot springs at Termas Geometricas
and dinner in the town of P
Day 9 Climb and ski Villarica – LIFT SERV?
Day 10 Disembarkment
